Celebrate diversity with movies at the Woodbridge Main Library

The Woodbridge Main Library, 1 George Frederick Plaza, Woodbridge, will present a film series on Friday afternoons at 2 p.m. beginning May 6. The first movie is Hope Springs, a story of a long-married couple who try with the help of a renowned marriage counselor to reignite their passions for one another.

On May 13, Calendar Girls, a popular comedy about a group of friends trying to raise funds for a good cause in a very unconventional way will be screened. Away From Her, which focuses on a husband’s attempts to cope with his wife’s debilitating disease, will be featured May 20. It’s Complicated, a romantic comedy with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin, will be shown on May 27 followed by The Kids Are All Right, a comedy-drama about a nontraditional family starring Annette Bening and Julianne Moore on June 3.

The award-winning film, Dallas Buyers Club, with Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto, will be presented on June 10 . The New Jersey based biographical film, Freeheld, will be shown on June 17. The series ends on June 24 with The Danish Girl, a love story based on the novel by Tom Hooper, starring Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander.
