According to the municipal clerk’s office, Republicans Stanley Moslowski Jr. and LoriSue H. Mount filed nominating petitions to retain their seats on the governing body. No Democrat filed a petition to run for office.

An individual who wants to run as an independent candidate has until June 7 to file a nominating petition.

Moslowski is serving as Upper Freehold’s mayor in 2016.

Neither Moslowski nor Mount responded to an email message or to a telephone message seeking comment on their upcoming bids for public office.

In 2013, the last time Moslowski and Mount ran for office, they turned back the challenge of one Democrat, Florence J. Foley. Mount received 1,594 votes, Moslowski received 1,574 votes and Foley received 721 votes in that race for two seats.

All five members of the governing body are Republicans. Moslowski and Mount are joined by Dr. Robert Frascella, Stephen Alexander and Robert Faber.
