The board introduced a $25.6 million budget on April 6 to fund the operation of the district from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. The budget is expected to be supported by a $22.1 million tax levy to be paid by Colts Neck’s residential and commercial property owners.

According to information provided by state education officials, the district will receive $1 million in state aid during the upcoming school year.

District administrators could not be reached to provide additional information about the 2016-17 budget.

The board’s May 4 meeting will be held in the cafetorium of the Conover Road Primary School, 56 Conover Road. The board may vote to adopt the budget following the public hearing.
