The Main Street Theatre Company will hold open auditions for its upcoming production of “Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.” 7:30 p.m. May 2 and 3 at the Main Street Theatre, 3018 Bordentown Ave., Parlin section of Sayreville. Callbacks (by invitation only) are planned for 7:30 p.m. May 5.
Youngsters ages 5-13 (birthdates July 15, 2002-May 9, 2011) are invited to try out. Participation fee is $75, payable at auditions. Interested individuals should prepare 16 bars of a Broadway-style song, bring sheet music, be prepared to dance, and wear proper footwear and loose-fitting clothing. A piano accompanist will be provided; an iPod dock will be available for those who prefer to use a prerecorded instrumental-music track. There will be no a-cappella auditions. Show dates will be July 15, 16, 17, 22, 23 and 24.
