Metuchen Library to host Julia Child event on April 29

The Friends of the Metuchen Library will welcome “Julia Child” and you to a gala fund-raiser on April 29 from 7-9 p.m.

Professional Actress Linda Kenyon will impersonate the beloved chef Julia Child. Kenyon has performed in many venues through the years including a show at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. using the preserved kitchen of Julia Child as a background.

The community room/gallery will be transformed into a French bistro. A buffet of French wine, Perrier water, French cheese, crackers, grapes, macaroons, madeleines and creampuffs will be served. Tables, each seating four, will fill the room.

A collection of special $1 and $2 cookbooks will be for sale. In addition, three copies of Julia Child’s “The Art of French Cooking” and other special books will be raffled. The raffle is included in the ticket price of $40 per person. Enjoy an evening in Paris without the hassle.

Make your reservations at the library front desk, (checks only). Seating is limited.
