Fourteen-year old John Alexander Van Dyck (left) of Long Branch replaces the American flag from atop the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge in Rumson on August 6. Van Dyck noticed the flag on the bridge was torn and wants local scouts to replace worn flags and teach proper flag etiquette.

Lisa’s Most Wanted Tacos will hold a Cinco de Mayo Celebration from 4-10 p.m. May 5 at VFW Post 2179, 1 Veterans Lane, Port Monmouth.

Partial proceeds will benefit Gold Star Mothers who have lost a son or daughter to active-duty military service.

There will be prize giveaways, and a drop box will be available to donate stationery and snacks for U.S. troops.

The cost is $25 per person and includes an empanada, taco and nacho bar and churros. A cash bar will be available. Music will be provided by DJ Duo Radiant.
