K. Hovnanian Homes, New Jersey’’s largest homebuilder, has announced plans for the development of a new community of upscale single-family estate homes in one of Monmouth County’’s most desirable areas. The new community, Tanglewood Estates at Chapel Hill, will be an intimate enclave of only 20 personalizable homes located just off of Route 35 in Middletown.

At Tanglewood, buyers will have a choice of five large estate-home floorplans that feature up to 4,946 square feet of living space. These grand, elegantly designed homes will include four to six bedrooms, two-and-a-half to five-and-a-half baths, and two- to three-car garages, with distinctive features and finishes throughout. Optional garden and outdoor living spaces will also be available.

Homeowners at Tanglewood will enjoy one of Monmouth County’’s most desirable and convenient locations. Middletown Township offers a wealth of recreational activities including more than 35 parks, with many offering tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds, athletic fields and/or picnic areas. There are several county parks offering hiking and biking trails and the federally owned Sandy Hook, with its popular beaches, lighthouse, and variety of outdoor activities. The area also has three country-club golf courses, as well as marinas for boating and some of New Jersey’’s finest beaches just minutes away.

Tanglewood homeowners will appreciate being just minutes from downtown Red Bank, with its appealing mix of fine dining, boutiques, stores, shops and entertainment venues. Middletown is also close to Monmouth County’’s popular upscale shopping center, The Grove at Shrewsbury. In addition, the area is rich in history. Middletown Village is one of the oldest permanent English settlements in New Jersey. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the district features examples of 18th and 19th century building including historic churches, schools, shops and residences.

The new community will be ideal for commuters. Tanglewood will be located just a few miles from the New York Waterway Belford Ferry terminal and the Seastreak Atlantic Highlands Ferry terminal, making it ideal for those who work in New York City, Hoboken and Jersey City. Homeowners will also have easy access to major roadways including the Garden State Parkway and Routes 520, 35, 36, and 516. And NJ Transit’s Middletown station allows for easy commuting or occasional trips into New York City for dinner, a show, or other city activities, as well as travel throughout the state and beyond.

Tanglewood Estates at Chapel Hill is expected to open for sales this summer, with construction on the community’’s first model home beginning soon after the opening. Interested buyers are encouraged to register now for the Tanglewood “Interest List,” to stay up to date on progress and happenings in the community and to be among the first to receive other significant news about this  new neighborhood. Those on the list will be advised in advance with details about the community’’s upcoming grand opening and model opening celebrations.
