Bartley Healthcare to hold free Stroke Awareness Seminar May 12

Bartley Healthcare, Jackson, welcomes the community to participate in a free seminar on Stroke Awareness on May 12 at 5:30 p.m. The facility is located at 175 Bartley Road.

May is Stroke Health Month, and Bartley Healthcare is sponsoring a presentation to help more people understand the disease. Stroke is the fourth leading cause of death in the country, yet many don’t know that it is 80 percent preventable. At the seminar they will discuss the myths about stroke and look at how a healthy heart leads to a healthy brain. This presentation will be given by Ellen Ciacciarelli, R.N., M.S.N., A.P.N.-C., C.C.R.N., advanced practice nurse, clinical leader/stroke coordinator from CentraState Medical Center.
