Chances are you’ve experienced neck pain at some time in your life. Most people have. Many people think it’s normal, a part of aging — just a part of life. Some people just take a pain killer and keep going. Or, maybe they try to get used to it, or go from treatment to treatment never resolving their neck pain. Often their neck pain just seems to keep getting worse over time.

Unfortunately, too many people have accepted neck pain as something they have to live with, but nothing could be further from the truth!

Neck pain is a warning

Pain is a symptom that something is wrong. And neck pain is a body signal that something is wrong in your neck, which can lead to more serious health problems. All the nerves travel from your brain through your neck to all other parts of your body, and this is what controls, coordinates, integrates, and regulates all the functions of your body. Interestingly, more than 90 percent of the time, the nerves in the neck can be irritated and not even cause pain. When you feel pain, you can be pretty sure those nerves are seriously inflamed. If the nerves in your neck are irritated and inflamed, it will cause the strength, energy, and intelligence that flows through those nerves to be diminished, and that will lead to a progressive weakening of the cells, tissues, and organs supplied by those nerves causing damage and eventual health problems.

One of the most common causes of neck pain is pinched and inflamed nerves from individual or whole groups of the spinal bones getting out of alignment.

Common causes of vertebral misalignment

Emotional or mental stress
Falls
Injuries
Looking down at cell phones
Motor vehicle accidents
Sitting at computers
Sitting too long
Sleeping improperly
Slips
Twists, and more

Chiropractic care is an effective treatment of neck pain

The doctors at Infinity Health and Wellness successfully treat neck pain for patients on a daily basis. One of the key elements we evaluate in treating neck pain is a patient’s posture. Posture is like a window to the spine, and by evaluating posture we can get a good idea of whether someone’s spine is out of alignment, putting dangerous stress on the nerves, which often contributes to other health problems as well.

In the office we use state-of-the-art technology to evaluate the alignment and function of the spine and nervous system. We specialize in advanced techniques to restore the normal alignment and function to the spine thereby allowing the nerves to flow freely, which not only feels good but often improves healing, performance, energy, strength, and enhances overall well being. We also empower our practice members with the knowledge and instruction to take care of their spine and nervous system so you can keep your spine and nervous system functioning properly for a lifetime. You were designed to be healthy. Chiropractic can help you live the life you were meant to live. Neck pain is not something you have to live with. Chiropractic care can bring relief from neck pain, restoring mobility and function, and allowing you to live life pain free.
