A participant crawls his way through the mud-drenched course during the Rock Solid Mud Run held at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown on August 6. Rock Solid Mud Run is an all-terrain adventure that involves mastering obstacles along either a five or ten-mile course. Participants ran, swam, crawled, climbed, jumped while covering four motocross tracks, hundreds of acres of woods, three lakes, and two asphalt racetracks.

The first Happy Fest Obstacle Course, a wheelchair-accessible, family obstacle course and festival open to all ages and abilities, will begin at 9 a.m. May 21 at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, Englishtown.

The event is designed for all members of the family to participate. Grandparents will have the opportunity to cross the finish line hand-in-hand with their children and grandchildren, even if one or more have disabilities. After the obstacle course, families are invited to join the Happy Fest Community in the post-race festival featuring music, food, games, free physical-fitness classes and more.
