Four students earn awards in national competition

LITTLE SILVER — Four students in Red Bank Regional High School’s Visual & Performing Arts Academy earned medals in the national competition, Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, which is sponsored by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers.

Jordan Fleming of Red Bank won a gold medal, and silver medals went to Skylar Eber of Bradley Beach, Willow Martin of Little Silver and Mya Nunnally of Red Bank.

Selected students will be invited with their teacher, Dr. Gretna Wilkinson, to attend the award ceremonies at Carnegie Hall on June 2. Gold-medalist winners will also have their work displayed at the National Exhibition at the New School Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute’s Pratt Manhattan Gallery from June 2-12.
