Highland Park Police Capt. Scott Golden said his department was notified on April 22 of the identification.

“The medical examiner’s office determined there was no foul play,” he said.

Sharp, 23, was a 2009 Edison High School graduate and a United States Marine Corps veteran. He had last lived in North Carolina and was visiting family over the holidays in Highland Park.

He was last seen on Jan. 10 in the Woodbridge area and the investigation led by the Highland Park Police Department followed up on multiple sightings of Sharp with negative results.
