Joint Base to hold 2016 Open House and Air Show Media Day

Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (MDL) is proud to serve as the host to the 2016 “Power in the Pines” Open House and Air Show Saturday, May 14, at 11:30 a.m.

Joint Base mission partners include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds; U.S. Army Golden Knights; U.S. Navy F-18 Demonstration Team; Breitling Jet Team; The GEICO Sky Typers along with nearly a half million guests from across the region.

 VISUAL & INTERVIEWS:

Visuals include expert level aerial demonstrations by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S.Army Golden Knights and more, various aircraft static displays, vendors, and military members in uniform. The media will have the opportunity to interview representatives from the Thunderbirds, Golden Knights, base leaders and more.

The Joint Base MDL Open House and Air Show is a biannual two-day event that has drawn hundreds of thousands of people in the past years. Visitors can closely examine military aircraft and witness high caliber aerial performances. The open house and air show allows the community to experience firsthand the joint base’s global mobility capabilities as well as a true joint and total force platform. Media representatives are invited to attend.
