Family Addiction Network meeting set for May 17

The Family Addiction Network will hold its monthly meeting at the West Long Branch Community Center from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. on May 17. Families and friends can seek support in dealing with addiction in a non-judgmental, compassionate and receptive environment free of charge.

This month’s presenter is Lou Krupkin and Cabo who together offer a K9 sniffing service that offers families immediate notification if there is a potential problem in the home. This service is completely discreet and confidential.

Mr. Krupkin will share how narcotics detection K9s are selected, trained and work. In particular, focus will be on how these talented and dedicated K9s work in the private sector for an anonymous service that is designed to help families, schools, business and rehab centers be safe and drug free. Mr. Krupkin is certified as a Police K9 Handler, although working in the private sector. As a part of the presentation, there will be a brief demonstration.
