Holmdel introduces $2.9 million bond for various improvements

HOLMDEL- The borough council has introduced a $2.9 million bond ordinance that if approved, will fund road improvements and will address other several issues during the May 3 Borough Council meeting.

Of the $2.9 million, $1.3 million is earmarked for the 2016 paving, curb, sidewalk and drainage program for various areas of Holmdel.

The council also allocated $574,000 for various park improvements and $305,000 for a loader for the Department of Public Works.

A sum of $661,000 will be focused on equipment purchases for several Holmdel departments, including computers for various departments, turnout gear, helmets, boots and computers for the fire department, SUV’s for the Construction Code Office, dump trucks for the Department of Public Works and SUV’s, furniture, mobile video recorders, weapons, safety equipment and security cameras for the police department.
