Trinity United Methodist Church invites the community to participate in the 2016 growing season opening of its Naomi’s Way Community Garden 9 a.m.-noon May 14 at the church, 70 Manalapan Road, Spotswood. Rain date is May 21.

The garden supplies fresh vegetables to the community through the CUP (Churches United for People) food pantry in Spotswood. Founded four years ago by local resident Lauren Duh in a plot that measured only 4 by 12 feet, the garden has expanded to provide thousands of tomatoes, fresh herbs and dozens of peppers, cabbages and squash to the community at no charge.

Individuals who to garden or would like to learn are welcome to bring gardening tools and assist in the season opening.
