EAST BRUNSWICK – Coming off of Healthy Kids Week last week, the Raritan Valley YMCA has scheduled another carnival for this coming weekend.

Community members and children joined the YMCA staff for a nature walk on April 27 to experience the outdoors in a mentally stimulating and physically active way, according to information provided by the YMCA.

On April 30, it was a carnival atmosphere at the Y with an entirely free Healthy Kids Day event. More than 100 children from East Brunswick and surrounding communities attended and participated in health-themed carnival games; arts and crafts; campfire stories; music; and sports lessons in archery, tennis and basketball, according to the statement.

The YMCA will be holding another free family carnival, featuring a summer camp open house and summer camp-style activities, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on May 14. The Y is located at 144 Tices Lane, East Brunswick.
