HOPEWELL TWP.: Team efforts stand out in diamond results 

Here are recreation baseball results in games in the Ewing-Hopewell Babe Ruth league:
 The Bad News Bears clutched a 9-2 win from the Aztec Graphics on April 30. The Bad News Bears came out big at the plate with doubles from Jimmy McSweeney, Luke Blair and Anthony St. John. Aztec Graphics had great defense all around and were backing each other up throughout the duration of the game at bat and on the field.
 Peddler’s Village bested Colavita Jewelers, 9-6, on April 30. Colavita stayed close with efforts by Luke Sodoman and Jack Avanzato, both with long doubles. Peddler’s Village’s Russel Ingling went 3-for-3 with 1 double and 3 runs scored. Andy Blake also contributed a 3 for 3 game, with two doubles and two runs scored. Tyrique Alston boosted Peddler’s Village with a triple that rolled to the fence.
Here are recreation baseball results in games in the Major League of the Hopewell Valley Baseball/Softball Association:
 The Yankees beat the Phillies, 8-3, on April 30 despite effort by the Phillies. The Phillies’ grit was seen in Alex D’Avanzo, who went 1 for 2 and got on base on an error, Chris Tobia, who went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles, and Nate Szelgia, who ripped a ball into the outfield for a triple. The Yankees proved too much, however. Scotty Hunt’s went 4-for-4 with a double and 3 singles. Dominic Yarson also helped the Yankees cause with 2 doubles.
 The Orioles held off a furious late-game rally by the Red Sox to hold onto an 8-7 victory on April 30. Cole Garrow got the win for the Orioles, doubled and drove in three runs. Mason Scall, Austin Martorana, Timmy McEwen and Nick Tagliareni all racked up hits for the Orioles, and Henry Garnich added a triple. Jay Swindell had a three-run triple to bring the Red Sox within one in the 5th inning. Sanjay Suryanaryan and Colin Gilmore added to the hit total for the Red Sox.
 The A’s defeated the Mets, 11-5, on April 30. The Mets were within one by the end of the 1st, but, after 6 passed balls and 8 stolen bases, the A’s made out with another run in the 2nd and six in the 4th. Dillon Eng scored 2 runs and brought a run for the Mets, along with 2 RBIs from John Johann. Gunnar Casano, Armaan Singh, Jared Greenzang, Michael Boyer, Logan Bergner, Harris Roberts and James Huang all scored runs for the A’s, especially when they batted through their order in the 4th.
 Kuppex Landscaping Red Sox beat Vito’s A’s, 11-3, on April 27. Todd McCoy went 1-2 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored. Chris Del Vecchio pitched one inning and gave up no runs. For the A’s Gunnar Casano pitched one inning and struck out 2 batters and Michael Boyer went 1-3 with a double and a run scored.
