LITTLE SILVER — The vocal majors of Red Bank Regional High School’s (RBR) Visual & Performing Arts Academy (VPA) will present operas at 7 p.m. May 20 and 21 at 101 Ridge Road. Both shows will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra.

On May 20, “Orfeo ed Euridice,” by 18th-century composer Christoph Willibald von Gluck, will be performed in Italian with English subtitles. The opera also features a ballet by RBR VPA dance majors. The opera is based on the myth of Orpheus.

On May 21, a modern comic adaptation of Seymour Barab’s 1956 opera, “A Game of Chance,” will be presented in English. The whimsical tale is about three knitters who are granted their wishes, which in hindsight are not what they were promised to be.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens and available at the door. For more information, call 732-842-8000, ext. 227.
