The Shrewsbury Chorale will hold a Gift Auction fundraiser, The Chorale Goes to the Opera, an evening of fine dining, entertainment, prizes, and a gala evening of opera choruses. The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. on June 14 at the Cultural Center at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, 1033 West Park Ave., Ocean Township.
After browsing the gift baskets, enjoy a gourmet dinner catered by Buona Sera of Red Bank. (BYOB) Following dinner, The Shrewsbury Chorale will entertain with a selection of famous opera choruses. Neil F. Brown will conduct and John Balme will accompany on the piano. Following the musical performance, tickets will be drawn for a host of gift baskets and the 50/50. Advance reservations are required by June 7. The price is $55. Tables of 10 are discounted to $50 a seat.
