Michael Wallace, 25, of Franklin Lakes, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $1,000 following a motor vehicle stop on Witherspoon Street at 11:21 a.m. May 16. He was also found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license. 

The coin box from a parking meter on University Place was stolen sometime between midnight and 1:40 p.m. May 15. The thief broke off the parking meter head to get to the coin box. 

Someone broke a large glass pane window on a building in the 700 block of State Road and entered it between 5 p.m. May 14 and 8 a.m. May 15. Graffiti was scrawled throughout the building, including swastikas, the number 88 and the sentence “Everyone who is not white Protestant is a hindrance to the human race and must be exterminated.” 

Carmen Chan, 23, of Lawrence Township was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident on South Harrison Street at 1:25 a.m. May 15. 

Connor Oltmans, 24, of Belle Mead, was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was stopped on Moore Street at 12:49 a.m. May 14 for failure to keep right, failure to use a turn signal and following too closely. 

Praveen Chinthapalli, 39, of Morris Plains, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $300 from Bloomfield Township Municipal Court after a random license plate inquiry revealed the warrant. He was stopped by police on The Great Road at 10:13 a.m. May 12. 

A vandal broke the front left and right windows on a car that was parked in a driveway on Grover Avenue between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. May 12. 

Amitava Bhattacharjee, 61, of Princeton, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $190 from Princeton Municipal Court after he was stopped for allegedly speeding on Lovers Lane at 10:22 p.m. May 11. 

Nearly $400 in cash was stolen from a stock room/office in a business on Hulfish Street around noon on May 11. A man and a woman entered the stock room/office and took the cash. 

Katherine Burns, 20, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, was charged with underage possession of alcohol after she was observed carrying an alcoholic beverage on Olden Street at 12:31 a.m. May 11. 
