HOPEWELL VALLEY: Local lacrosse middies play at RPI 

Two Hopewell Valley Central athletes were midfielders on the men’s lacrosse team at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., which earned a berth in the Division III NCAA Tournament, but lost May 11 to visiting Amherst College, 16-11, in a first-round game May 11.
Hopewell Valley Central grad Lane Meyer, a soph from Pennington, played in 11 games and had one goal. Chandler “Chaz” Bell, a junior from Hopewell, got into one game and had one assist.
RPI finished the season at 12-5, and was one of nine at-large teams selected to the 32-team field that determines the national champion.
