Lottery ticket worth $2M sold in North Brunswick

NORTH BRUNSWICK – The numbers 5, 7, 9, 23 and 23 add up to 2 million.

The winning numbers for the May 21 New Jersey Lottery drawing also included a Red Power Ball number of 26 and a Multiplier number of 4.

There was one ticket sold at Krauszer’s, 1825 Route 130 and Southwood Avenue, North Brunswick, that matched the five white balls to win the $1 million second-prize, with the Powerplay doubling the prize to $2 million, according to a statement prepared by the New Jersey Lottery.

The winner(s) have not come forward yet.

“Congratulations to the fortunate lottery players whose tickets were big prizewinners,” Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger said in the statement. “These lucky players now join the growing ranks of New Jersey Powerball winners.”
