After a successful first year of competition, Red Bull Surf + Rescue returns to the beaches of Atlantic City July 19, when 40 four-person teams will compete for the title of the strongest beach patrol in New Jersey.

Red Bull Surf + Rescue is an elite lifeguarding competition exclusive to New Jersey Beach Patrols. The contest focuses on classic disciplines, including swimming, sprinting, prone paddling and lifeguard boat rowing. Forty teams will go head-to-head through progressive elimination rounds before a winner is crowned.

Middletown Elks will hold the annual youth activities Batter Up Contest. The youth activities batter up contest will take place June 11.

Registration will be at 8:00 a.m. Competition will take place at 9:00 a.m. at Gordon Court field off Main Street, Port Monmouth. Rain date will be June 18.

The batter up is open to boys and girls ages 5-15 for baseball and softball. For further information contact Mike Veth at 732 671-0463.

Five-time New Jersey PGA (NJPGA) Player of the Year Frank Esposito Jr. has joined the renowned Forsgate Country Club in Monroe and the century-old Shackamaxon Country Club in Scotch Plains as a PGA teaching professional. Forsgate and Shackamaxon are owned and operated by affiliates of RDC Golf Group, a Garden State golf course ownership and management company.    

 A full-time member of the Champions Tour in 2015, Esposito received a sponsor exemption into the 2016 Senior PGA Championship that will take place May 26-29 at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

In addition to contending in various local and national tournaments throughout the season, Esposito will exclusively teach at Forsgate and Shackamaxon, and both club logos will adorn Esposito’s golf bag.

Get an early start with Top Notch team training. Top Notch’s small-sided training methods are ideal to get ready for the new field and player formations as mandated by the USYS.

All programs will run at Ross Field in Aberdeen and Gravelly Brook Park in Matawan. Program will move indoors at Top Notch Sports Center for inclement weather.
