The Somerset County Park Commission will celebrate Memorial Day with a free golf clinic and free 9-hole round of golf for active duty and veteran service men and women at the Callaway Golf Learning Center at Neshanic Valley Golf Course on South Branch Road.
The free clinic, run by Neshanic Valley golf professionals, will be offered on Saturday, May 28, from 9 to 10 a.m. Following the clinic, participants may play a complimentary 9-hole round on the academy course, adjacent to the Callaway center.
Individuals must provide evidence of active or veteran military service. Players don’t have to live in Somerset County. Individuals wishing to attend clinics can do so by calling the Learning Center at 908-369-8232 or register the day of the event.
The two centers features double-ended driving range with grass and mat hitting areas, a 16,000-square-foot putting green, a practice facility with bunkers and three chipping greens, and two practice holes.
