The Katora family of East Brunswick will sponsor its 12th annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand to fight childhood cancer 10 a.m.-6 p.m. June 11 and 12 at 2 Biernacki Court, East Brunswick, corner of Old Stage Road, across from Spotswood ShopRite.
The event is held annually in memory of local residents Tara Stout (1996-2007) and Christopher Basile (2004-09) and was inspired by the last wishes of John Tobia (1923-2004).
Fresh-squeezed lemonade, slushies, spring water, assorted snacks, pingpong and other games will be available. “Foxy Roxy the Diving Dog” will be on hand to dive for donations upon request.
All proceeds will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer. Donations are fully tax-deductible. The Katora family has raised thousands of dollars over the years to benefit childhood-cancer research.
