Robert Selover Sr. died May 27, 2016, at his home in North Brunswick. He was 85.
Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Milltown before moving to North Brunswick over 50 years ago. He was a foreman for the North Brunswick Township Department of Public Works Water Department, where he worked for 38 years, before retiring in 1992.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in North Brunswick and had played basketball with the Republican Club Basketball Team in the 1950s.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Gordon) Selover; two sons, Richard Selover and Robert Selover Jr. and his wife, Michele (Ventola), all of North Brunswick; his granddaughter, Samantha Selover, of North Brunswick; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were under the direction of Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to RWJ Visiting Nurses, 176 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, N.J. 07701.
