Woodbridge Library offering array of programs for teens, tweens in June

The Woodbridge Public Library is offering several events for teens and tweens throughout June, including a craft program, book club, monthly Teen Advisory Group meeting, and the kick-off to the Teen Summer Reading Program.

  • June Crafternoon: Teens and tweens in grades 6-12 can make no-sew emoji pillows in the Main Library Meeting Room on June 9 from 3-4:30 p.m. No sewing skills required, and all supplies will be provided.
  • Teen Advisory Group: Teens in grades 8-12 can volunteer with the monthly group to share ideas on ways to make the library a better place for teens and earn community service hours. This month’s meeting will be held on June 16 from 3:45-4:45 p.m. in the Main Library BEC Room.

  • Teen Book Club: Teens in grades 8-12 can share a book and get ideas on what to read next from other readers. There is no assigned reading; it’s a literary free-for-all! The next meeting will take place June 24 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Main Library BEC Room.
  • Summer Games Teen DIY Program: The Teen Summer Reading Program kicks off with a craft program on June 30 from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Main Library Meeting Room. Teens and tweens can create paracord bracelets, design their own flying disks, and other crafts. This program will be repeated at July 6 at the Fords Branch, July 7 at the Iselin Branch, and July 11 at the Henry Inman Branch. Teens in grades 8-12 can sign up for the summer reading program beginning June 27 by going to a library or signing up online at www.woodbridgelibrary.org.
