First Presbyterian Church (FPC) of Metuchen is holding a car wash fundraiser on June 18 from 9 a.m. to noon. It will take place at FPC, located at 270 Woodbridge Ave. in Metuchen. All proceeds benefit its senior high youth group’s summer Habit for Humanity mission trip.

This year, FPC’s youth group will travel to Roanoke, Virginia, to assist the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate from July 24-30. The group will help in building homes for families in need, which is part of Habitat for Humanity’s mission. Donations raised from the car wash will go toward travel and other expenses related to the mission trip.
“This is a simple way for others to help a family in need,” said Rev. Ellen Clark Clémot, senior pastor of FPC. “By giving a donation at our car wash, you will support us in paying for this mission trip and ultimately assist us in building a home for a needy family.”
