LONG BRANCH — A Toms River man was pronounced dead shortly after being struck by a New Jersey Transit train on June 11.
Thomas Gordon, 26, was struck by a North Jersey Coast Line train shortly after 11 o’clock on Saturday night.
“The reasoning of what happened is still under investigation,” NJ Transit Senior Public Information Officer Lisa Torbic said.
According to Torbic, service was suspended for about an hour, but no injuries were reported regarding the approximately 75 passengers on the train.
