Silver Line employees receive tax prep assistance from United Way

NORTH BRUNSWICK — Silver Line by Anderson in North Brunswick provided access to a free tax preparation service from United Way of Central Jersey (UWCJ) for the windows and doors company’s employees.

This program, sponsored by the IRS and implemented by the United Way, helps to ensure that people receive the tax credits and refunds they deserve under the law, according to a statement prepared by the United Way.

This is the first year that Silver Line by Anderson in North Brunswick has participated. UWCJ provided IRS-certified tax preparers to work with employees on site.

UWCJ’s team filed more than 2,000 tax returns in 2015, generating over $2 million for Central Jersey residents, the statement said.

“This is a helpful and convenient service. I’m glad the company has made it available. I got over $900 back from the IRS that I was able to use to pay bills,” said Marisol Saber, senior human resources coordinator. “This is a great program. We look forward to working with the UWCJ in the future.”
