Long Branch Public Library presents program

As part of its yearlong Centennial anniversary celebration, the Long Branch Free Public Library will sponsor a program about Long Branch and Monmouth County called the “Jewish Newport of the Jersey Shore” at 7 p.m., June 29, at the Main Library in the Community Room, 328 Broadway, Long Branch.

Jean Klerman, a member of the Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County, will trace the assimilation of the Jewish immigrants from their first documented arrival in Monmouth County as early as 1716.
