OCEAN TOWNSHIP — July is Family Month at William F. Larkin Golf Course at Colonial Terrace, the Township of Ocean’s public nine-hole golf facility.

Family specials at the course that is located at 1003 Wickapecko Drive in July include:

Kids play free: Youth 7-17 years old play free throughout the month of July with a paying adult (one paying adult for each child).

Free Family Golf Clinic: On July 10 at 1 p.m., PGA Golf Pro Dale Shankland offers his Family Golf Clinic to help families share the joy of the game. The one-hour clinic will feature a golf demonstration, games for parents and children and a putting contest. For more information, call 732-775-3636 or visit www.colonialterracegolf.org.

Junior Tour kicks off: The Junior Masters, the first event of the William F. Larkin Golf Course Junior Tour for golfers ages 4–17, takes place on July 14, followed by the Junior Open on July 21 and the Junior Challenge on July 28. The final event of the tour takes place on August 4. Golfers can sign up at the clubhouse or online at www.colonialterracegolf.org.

Adult/Child 9-Hole Tournament: On July 17, adults and children will team up for a fun event and friendly competition. Registration forms are available at www.colonialterracegolf.org and at the clubhouse.

William F. Larkin Golf Course at Colonial Terrace offers more than 2,600 yards of golf located near Route 35. Hours are 7 a.m.-dusk, seven days a week, weather permitting. Fees are $19 on weekdays for Ocean Township residents and $22 on weekends. Non-residents pay $24 weekdays and $27 on weekends, with discounts for junior and senior golfers, both residents and non-residents.
