Lakewood celebrates Independence Day

LAKEWOOD – Get ready for an Independence Day celebration with fireworks and a concert on Sunday, July 3.

The All-Star Patriotic Orchestra, the municipal band conducted by Wilbur Wittemann, will kick off the festivities at 7:30 p.m. at the All Wars Memorial Amphitheater near Lake Carasaljo, off Route 9. Fireworks will be held over the Lake at 9:15 p.m. and can be viewed either from North or South Lake Drive.

Free shuttle buses will be available from the Municipal Building, 231 Third Street, as well as the parking lot of Public Works, located at 1 American Avenue, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
