HILLSBOROUGH: College students dean’s list grades

Amanda Castellano earned a place in the spring semester on the dean’s list for the College of Arts and Sciences at West Chester University in PA
Amanda is a 2014 graduate of Hillsborough High School and just finished her sophomore year as a communication studies major with an international business minor.
A student must earn a grade-point average of 3.67 or higher to be included on the dean’s list.
Amanda is member of the university’s women’s track and field team and in May finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.86 at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships.
She is also an active member of the school’s Alpha Phi Epsilon Kappa chapter.

Lauren Gross of Hillsborough has been named to the dean’s list at Bucknell University Lewisburg, Pa., for the spring semester. Dean’s list students have achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0.

Five Hillsborough students attained the dean’s list at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., for the spring semester. Students must earn a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.
The Hillsborough students are Alexander Glass-Hardenbergh, Allison Kent, Pooja Malhotra, Kian O’Brien and Rachel Pallay.

Andrew Kincaid of Hillsborough gained the dean’s list for the spring semester at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. Students must earn a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average (4.0-scale).
Andrew, a member of the class of 2016, is a mathematics major and chemistry minor. He is a graduate of Hillsborough High School.

Kelly Sloan of Hillsborough was among the undergraduate nursing students in the traditional Bachelor of Science degree in nursing program honored by the Nursing Department at Misericordia University in Dallas, Pa., in a pinning ceremony in late May.
Undergraduate nursing students who completed the program received the pin, a symbol of achievement in the nursing profession.

Seven Hillsborough students are among the 4,986 undergraduates who qualified for the spring dean’s list at the University of Rhode Island, located in Kingston.
The Hillsborough students are Jamie Zona, Nora Elizabeth Nuzzolo, Kalyn E Haver, Patrick Crossan, Giana Marucci, Samantha Czechowicz and Shannon M. Oryniak.
To be included, students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality-point average.

Michael Subach of Hillsborough was awarded Gold Stars by the Citadel in Charleston, S.C., for earning a grade-point ratio of 3.7 or higher during the spring semester. Students who achieve Gold Star recognition are also placed on the Citadel’s dean’s list. He is a May graduate of the military academy.

Christopher Bayer of Hillsborough was named to dean’s list at Susquehanna University Selinsgrove, Pa., for the spring semester.
The list recognizes students who achieve a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher for the semester. Students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.
Christopher is an early childhood education major in the class of 2018. A 2014 graduate of Hillsborough, he is the son of Ken and Michelle Bayer.

Three Hillsborough students were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Widener University in Chester, Pa.
Madeline Mayes, Tierney Rojas and Alexis Schengrund are all full-time students who earned a grade-point semester average of at least 3.50.
