A flea market vendor told police Sunday, June 12, that she had a briefcase containing items worth $30,000 stolen from him at 2 p.m. at the Golden Nugget Market on Route 29 in Hopewell Township.
The man told Hopewell Township Officer James Hoffman that a dark-skinned man and woman in their thirties entered his store. The female distracted her while the man reached behind the sales counter and stole his personal briefcase that held about $30,000 in currency and jewelry.
The investigation is ongoing.
