Writer supports Phillipson for Congress

How does a guy who lives in Virginia and who holds views that are more Taliban than Tea Party represent NJ-4 in Congress? If there is a “War on Women,” then Chris Smith is a general.

Forget the Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade; Congressman Smith wants to ban abortion in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman is at stake.

But forget abortion rights, Congressman Smith has. Congressman Smith is so out of step that he wants to ban birth control. He also doesn’t “believe” in science when it comes to climate change. I wonder if he believes in science when it comes to setting a broken arm.

Like me, like most of us, Lorna Phillipson understands that science and engineering are tools that can make the world safer and a better place. She believes that personal and private decisions should be made by individuals and their families, and not by the government.

Lorna is a professional with over 20 years on Wall Street and in Silicon Valley. She believes that government “Of the people, by the people and for the people” must strengthen the economy, educate our children and build infrastructure, not concern itself with the personal lives of citizens.

Lorna, who lives down the shore, is my choice to represent me and my family in Washington, D.C. Please send Lorna Phillipson to Congress to fight for NJ-4, our families and our future.
