Programs for seniors include health lectures, fun and games

The South Brunswick Senior Center will offer the following programs to members age 55 and older:

The annual piano recital will take place at 12:30 p.m. on July 6;

Movie days will be “Joy” at 12:30 p.m. on July 7, the newest Bollywood release at 12:30 p.m. on July 12 and “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2” at 12:30 p.m. on July 26. Screenings are free;

A “Trash to Treasure” class will be offered at 12:30 p.m. July 13 with artist and Master Gardener Art Lee. Sign up by July 1. Seats are limited;

A “Beat the Heat” BBQ and outdoor games is planned for 11:30 a.m. on July 14. Sign up is required by July 1;

Coloring for Adults will continue at 12:15 p.m. on July 15;

Princeton HealthCare will conduct a memory screening from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on July 18 consisting of a series of questions and/or tasks designed to test memory, language skills, thinking ability and other intellectual functions. Pre-register by calling 609-497-2230;

SUR P-R-I-Z-E Bingo will be held at 12:30 p.m. on July 18;

A free blood pressure check will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on July 19. No appointment is necessary;

A lecture on art, music and language by Professor Gopala “Paul” Rao will focus on a deeper human understanding of the universe at 12:15 on July 20;

“The Five Wishes: A Discussion of End-of-Life Decisions” is set for 12:30-1:15 p.m. on July 20. Princeton HealthCare will offer a lecture on how hospice and palliative care programs provide help and support, their similarities and differences and how they can make a positive difference. Pre-register by calling 609-497-2230;

An ice cream social is planned for 12:30 p.m. on July 21. The fee is $2. Register by July 13;

A talent show will take place at 12:30 p.m. on July 28. The Leos Performers will dance, sing, play instruments and perform magic tricks.
