LMxAC Libraries partner with Hoopla Digital

LMxAC announced public availability of thousands of movies, television shows, music albums and audiobooks, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with Hoopla Digital.

Patrons of LMxAC’s member libraries can now download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit www.lmxac.org/info/ and select hoopla to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers – available to borrow 24/7, for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets, computers and Apple TV.

“By partnering with Hoopla Digital, we’re furthering our mission to deliver a high standard of library service across LMxAC’s member libraries,” said Steve Andriolo, Library Catalog and Digital Content Specialist at LMxAC. “This new service will give our patrons access to a variety of popular and educational titles anytime, anywhere – even if the library is closed. Anyone with a library card will be able to explore a wide variety of content with no late fees or waiting periods.”

LMxAC provides shared technology services for 30 member libraries serving Middlesex, Monmouth, and Union counties. Members of LMxAC are public libraries in Carteret, Dunellen, East Brunswick, Edison, Elizabeth, Jamesburg, Kenilworth, Keyport, Long Branch, Matawan Aberdeen, Metuchen, Middlesex, Milltown, Monroe, New Brunswick, North Brunswick, Old Bridge, Perth Amboy, Piscataway, Plainfield, Plainsboro, Red Bank, Roselle, Roselle Park, Sayreville, South Amboy, South Brunswick, South River and Spotswood as well as Middlesex County College.
