Submissions sought for Heritage Day award

Nominations are being accepted for the North Brunswick Township Heritage Day Award, which is bestowed each year to a township resident who has been dedicated to improving the quality of life in North Brunswick as a volunteer with a non-profit group or civic organization for an extended period of time.

Submissions must be made in writing and include a detailed description of why the nominee is deserving of the honor. Specific information regarding the nominee’s involvement in the community is required.

The Ann Marie Chandlee Heritage Day Award will be presented at the 34th annual Heritage Day Festival at Community Park on Route 130 on Sept. 24.

Audition videos may also be sent in for Heritage Day Idol. The Top 5 performers will have the chance to sing at the festival. Auditions must be received by Aug. 22.

Nominations may be submitted to the Heritage Day Committee, 710 Hermann Road, North Brunswick 08902.
