HOPEWELL TWP.: 10-and-under team advances to state tournament

Led by manager Joe Rizziello and coaches Pat Brady and Kevin Fanning, the Hopewell Valley 10-and-under boys’ baseball team is advancing to the state tournament play July 8 in Mount Laurel after finishing as runners-up in district play in Montgomery on June 22.
After an opening-game loss to eventual champs North Burlington, the boys reeled off four straight wins, outscoring opponents, 53-2, in the process to reach the finals.
