The Hopewell Valley 8-and-under boys’ baseball team is advancing to state tournament play on July 14 in Mt. Laurel, after winning their district tournament by going undefeated in three games.
After a tight opening game win, 7-6, the Bulldogs won their last two games by 10-plus runs, finishing the championship game by winning, 16-3. Solid pitching, timely hitting and stellar defense drove the Bulldogs to the title.
