Writers did not focus on safety of the victim in sex assault case

Brian Geiger, Skillman
I noticed several responses to the alarming news articles of Friday, July 1, involving sexual assault and burglary.
In subsequent editions, Phyllis Spiegel and Irene Goldfarb seemed oblivious to the heinous crimes committed and focused solely on the term immigrant. It’s incomprehensible why these women didn’t focus on the safety and well-being of the 28-year-old victim but rather the description of the perpetrator.
I am confident residents of the Birch Avenue block were thankful for the article describing the intrusion so they and all residents can be more security conscious. I also thought describing the man as an “illegal immigrant” alerts neighbors and employers to the caliber of SOME immigrants living and working in the Princeton area.
