Monmouth University Center for the Arts announces 2016-2017 Performing Arts series

WEST LONG BRANCH – The Center for the Arts at Monmouth University has announced that tickets are now on sale for the 2016-2017 season — a collection of cultural experiences that deliver a world of music, movement, images, words and ideas to the doorsteps of the coastal New Jersey audience.

Last year’s 20th annual slate of Performing Arts events marked a
number of other milestones, not least of which was the 10th
Anniversary of the Center for the Arts program — and the start of a new chapter for the Pollak Theatre, the flagship performance venue on the Monmouth campus.

The Performing Arts Series opens on Sept. 24, with installation artist and multi-instrumentalist master William Close and the Earth Harp Collective in a performance centered around his massive stringed inventions.

Look for the 2016-2017 Season Brochure appearing soon, for details on other happenings on the Monmouth campus, including
gallery exhibitions, student theatrical productions at the Lauren K.
Woods Theatre, and concerts by Monmouth’s Department of Music and Theatre at historic Wilson Hall. Visit www.monmouth.edu/arts
for updated information on upcoming events at Monmouth University.

Tickets to all events in the 2016-2017 Performing Arts Series are on sale now, with the exception of Sweet Honey in the Rock and tickets for the Met Live series that will be available July 20. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Monmouth University Performing Arts Box Office at 732-263-6889 or online at www.monmouth.edu/arts.
