Dr. David H. Goodman died on Thursday, July 14, 2016. Prior to that, Dr. G, Dad, Dave, and Pop-Pop set out each day to make those he loved happy, safe, and full of laughter.
David was the husband of the late Mary Ethel Katchmer and the son of the late Ben and Sophie Goodman and brother of the late, Paula Goodman.
David joyfully shared the last seven years of his life with his partner, Mary Jacobsen and their goldendoodle, Bronx.
Born in the Bronx, NY, David moved to Linden, NJ and then spent the majority of his life in Pennington, NJ. David was a graduate of Rutgers University and University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He energetically worked side by side with his sons, Paul and Jeff, operating Pennington Dental Associates. His daughter, Jill Ellen Ruggieri, was the light of his life.
David’s family expanded with the additions of his son-in-law, Robert Ruggieri and Mary Arditi Goodman. He experienced a new level of happiness with the arrival of his grandchildren—Hudson, Mia, Vivienne, and Daphne. He loved, and was loved by, his extended family, particularly the Brennans, Bonjavannis, Watts, Boyces, Ruggieris, Schanens and Goodman family.
Funeral services and burial will be private under the direction of the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, NJ. The family will receive visitors at their home on Sunday from 3-7 pm and Monday from 3-7pm at 7 Timkak Lane, Pennington, NJ 08534. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
