HILLSBOROUGH: College students share accomplishments

Nicole Fazio of Hillsborough has been named to dean’s list for the spring semester at Alvernia University, located in Reading, Pa. Nicole, a graduate of Hillsborough High School, is studying occupational therapy.
To be eligible, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Hillsborough resident Gabriella Perruso, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham in Madison, has been inducted into FDU’s Phi Zeta Kappa honor society for the spring semester.
Eligibility for membership in the university’s junior honor society is established by completing at least the first 60 credits toward an undergraduate degree. Of these, 44 must have been earned at Fairleigh Dickinson and a grade of 3.20 must have been maintained for all of them. All the preceding requirements must have been fulfilled prior to the accumulation of 80 credits toward the undergraduate degree.

Erin Hanlon and Spencer Reynolds, both of Hillsborough, made the dean’s list for academic performance at Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio, by achieving a 3.5 or better grade-point average for the spring semester.

Jacob Gomolka of Hillsborough was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Syracuse University, where he is a sports management major with a minor in marketing. This completes three full years of this honor. Jacob is currently working his final capstone as a production and game entertainment intern with the Kansas City Chiefs for the 2016 season.

Many Hillsborough students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Delaware, located in Newark.
They are: Christian Balancia, Madison D’Amico, Courtney Defeo, Lauren DelMaestro, Joseph Deluca, Molly Doyle, Julia Gambogi, Allison Gan, Zoe Getz, Kyle Grant, Caroline Hu, Matthew Johnson, Jessica Kuc, Kathleen Lumia, Rachel Mahalow, Connor McAvaddy, Michelle McEnroe, Eline Nijveldt and Pierce Shein.
Undergraduate students must take a minimum of 12 credits for the semester and earn a minimum 3.33 GPA.
