PENNINGTON: Allison DeCarlo earns college degree

Allison K. DeCarlo of Pennington was honored at the University of Scranton’s class of 2016 commencement for academic excellence and service.
Allison was the recipient of the Excellence in International Business Award, and the Prof. Joseph G. Brunner Award for Excellence in Foreign Languages. A member of the university’s Business Leadership Honors Program, she graduated summa cum laude with a double major in international business and Spanish, and a minor in business leadership.
She was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Alpha Mu Gamma, Omega Beta Sigma, and Omicron Delta Epsilon honor societies. A financial services sector head for PRISM, she also served as president of the International Business Club and on the Kania Young Alumni Day Student Committee.
She was a cellist in the university’s string orchestra. She also studied abroad in the spring of 2015 in Seville, Spain. She has worked as an intern at New York Life Insurance Company and at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
After graduation, she will be a global banking and markets chief operating office analyst for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York.
She is a graduate of Hopewell Valley Central High School in Pennington and the daughter of Dianne and Joe DeCarlo.
