The Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders is sponsoring its free summer concert series with performances in four county parks. All events are free of charge and open to the public. Concertgoers are invited to bring their own lawn chair.
The upcoming concert schedule is as follows:
• July 24, 6-7:30 p.m. — George Krauss Memorial Band, “Wizards, Warriors and Phantoms,” Warren Park Mini Theater, Florida Grove Road, Woodbridge;
• July 24, 6:30-8 p.m. — Jersey Polka Stars, Spring Lake Park, Maple Avenue, South Plainfield;
• July 27, 2-3:30 p.m. — Garden State Symphonic Band, “Marches, Musicals, Moves and More,” Thompson Park Gazebo, Forsgate Drive, Monroe;
• July 27, 6:30-8:30 p.m. — Scarborough Fair, “A Simon and Garfunkel Experience,” Raritan Bay Waterfront Park, South Amboy/Sayreville beachfront, O’Leary Boulevard, South Amboy. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the South Amboy Middle/High School auditorium. Shuttle-bus service will be available, courtesy of Middlesex County Area Transit.
