HOLMDEL — This weekend, Saint John Vianney High School will be home to Constellation Production Company’s benefit production of the musical comedy “First Date.”

Directed by Jennifer Trabucco, the musical will run on July 30 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and on July 31 at 2 p.m. at the high school that is located at 540-A Line  Rd., Holmdel.

Proceeds from the production will go to area charities. Tickets are $10 and can be bought through a cast member, at the door, by email at Tickets@constellationproductioncompany.com or by calling 732-642-3129.

“First Date” tells the story of Aaron and Casey. When blind date newbie Aaron is set up with serial-dater Casey, a casual drink at a crowded New York restaurant turns into a comical high-stakes dinner.

Aaron and Casey’s inner critics take on lives of their own as other restaurant patrons transform into supportive best friends, manipulative exes, even protective parents, who sing and dance them through ice-breakers, appetizers and potential conversational land mines.

Can Aaron and Casey turn a potential dating disaster into something special before the check arrives?

The cast of “First Date” includes Steven Durso of Rumson, Amanda Faria of Atlantic Highlands, Paul DiGregorio of Toms River, Matt O’Malley of Spring Lake Heights, Tyler Burns of Atlantic Highlands, Brianna Quigley of Union Beach, Meghan Hayes of Morganville, Jennifer Trabucco of Old Bridge, Pete Cusick of Rumson and Amanda Marino of Aberdeen.

Alumni from Mater Dei Prep and Christian Brothers Academy formed Constellation Production Company as a way to support worthwhile charities and give back to the schools that helped shaped their futures.
