RED BANK — Since the release of Kenny Rogers’ “Christmas” album back in 1981, he has embarked on an annual Christmas and Hits Tour to perform holiday favorites and other hits at his concerts.
Rogers announced late last year on NBC’s “Today” show that the world tour he is currently on would be his final time performing around the globe. This year’s 35th edition of his annual Christmas and Hits Tour, with special guest Linda Davis, will be his last, but is expected to run into 2017 due to popular demand.
As part of the tour, Rogers will make his last-ever appearance Dec. 21 at the Count Basie Theatre, 99 Monmouth St., Red Bank. Tickets range from $39-$139 and are available by calling 732-842-9000 or visiting www.countbasietheatre.org.
